Last night I got home and went to take a shower when my husband's studio flooded with an inch of hot water. We found out that the water heater built up a lot of pressure and steaming hot water gushed out of the overflow pipe. A few weeks ago I had purchased new elements for the water heater and decided to get super duper double coil stainless steel elements. I found out last night that the elements were just too powerful and made the water boil.
I should have realized this because after installing them we burned ourselves several times in the shower and even the kitchen/bathroom sinks. We adjusted the elements to as low of a temperature as they could go and still got burned.
We now have new elements that aren't super duper and aren't burning us either.
Just another day in paradise.

I am SOOOO Gullible
My mother told me something when I was ten years old. We were visiting her biological mother (long story of why I am calling her "biological") in Virginia. One day during the trip my Mom pointed out the car window and said, "Do you see those cows on that big hill?" I looked and said, "Yes". She then said, "How do those cows walk around that big hill when one set of their feet are longer than the ones on the other side?"
I had to sit and look and think about that. It was obvious that these cows wanted to get to the top of the hill and it didn't look very easy to do because of their obvious impediment of one half of their legs being longer than the other side. Momma then said that they must walk around and around the mountains in order to get to the top of the mountain and wasn't it just a shame that they couldn't just walk up or down the hill like everyone else.
I completely believed my parents for YEARS and thought that mountain cows and goats had smaller legs on one side of their bodies that they used to go around hills and mountains because they couldn't go up them.
When really, the cows and goats have fine standing bones to cavort around in and really I am the twerp with the misconception. My mother got such a laugh and thrill telling everyone how I believed those long years ago that I thought their legs were shorter and then everyone would call me "gullible", "naive", "green behind the ears", and any type of expression they could find.
On another note, I have been experiencing great difficulty sleeping lately once again. I just popped an Ambien to help me rest prior to laying down with my laptop to try and say .... something..... anything.
Writing with Ambien is quite difficult and at the same time quite nice because I don't have the normal fear of who will read what. I found out that one person found my blog that I never expected would (and you know who you are). It really freaks me out because this blog is a place I can say anything on my mind and feel the freedom while doing it. I don't feel as free anymore. I feel I have to censor certain things, which doesn't go along with the life and intent of this blog.
I don't feel as comfortable blogging because of it.
I have actually thought about deleting this blog and starting anew somewhere else where no one will know me. I will miss my blogging friends a lot, though.
Ugh....
I just don't know what to do.
I think that I'll sleep now...Thankfully the Ambien is starting to kick in.
Good night, my friends. Please pray for me. I am desperately trying to change my life and don't know where to start. I feel so ADD and overwhelmed when I think about all that I need to do and all that I need to face, and conquer once and for all.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.
Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than its worth.

I Wish My Mind Had a "Power Off" Button
I worked Thursday and Friday 12 hours each day. I worked as well today for about six and I'm tired. After working today I went to the grocery store and came home and put it away, cleaned the kitchen and here I am.
I never see my husband. We merely pass through the house always walking the opposite direction from each other. I get home from work, he leaves for work. I leave for work, he is sleeping.
I never thought it would get to be this way.
My daughter has been staying at her Nana's house this weekend and comes home tomorrow. I'm happy for her because she loves staying there. It's a nice break for her.
Tomorrow I need to clean the house, wash clothes and do homework. I just can't wait.
You know, I just realized that this blog is becoming a sort of "To Do" list. Lately I have been writing either what work I've done or what work I need to do. How freakin' boring is that! I apologize. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in what I need to get done or what I've already done that it is all I can think about.
Sometimes I just can't shut my mind down and it's tiring.

First Time
Just trying to do something...
I am tired and it's already 1:03am. I have to get up early to go to work and I don't know why I am laying here with my laptop dangling between my knees as I type absolutely nothing into this blog.
I have so much to say, yet nothing at all will express itself from my soul.
I have a headache...I've had it for a while today and it just isn't going away. I am tired and feel lost.
I have tried in the past to keep diaries when I was young and also other blogs when technology bloomed, yet I have been wildly unsuccessful with them. I just don't have the consistency to keep them going. Is there any technology out there that I could use to get myself to write into this blog every day? Even if it was only three sentences a day? Just something?
OK..I am going to listen to my body for once and go to bed and try and sleep. Wish me well...I wish all the best for each of you.
