Psych Central Best of the Web!

If it wasn't for John mentioning it at his blog, Storied Mind (incredible blog, by the way), I would have never known that this blog was chosen by Psych Central as one of the "Top Ten Depression Blogs of 2008". What shocking news! I had to read his post again because I felt I didn't read correctly the first time. I then visited PsychCentral and read what they had to say about the blog and just sat dumbfounded. I didn't move for a full minute and my mouth was wide open in amazement.

I have no idea how Psych Central learned of this blog. I feel very honored to be in the company of others who received the same award. I am still in complete and utter shock.

Thank you, Psych Central!

Catherine, you deserve the award. Depression is a lonely thing and when you blog about it, it helps make others feel not so alone. Your posts show the cycle you go through, the ups and downs and also, most importantly, how you rise above it, ride through it.

You don't have to be a therapist or a psychiatrist to help people. You can just be yourself. Which is what you are.

Well done.

Congratulations!!! And I like what Linda said,

Congratulations! I think one of the best things about this blogging business, is that we create a virtual community for ourselves and each other.

By reading and writing about a mental diagnoses, we peel away the layers, so that information leads to understanding.

Bravo! How nice to be recognized huh? You deserve it. I have just read your posts from day one and I must say you have come a long way in your depression. I have suffered with it as well and my son is bipolar so you are an inspiration. Keep up the good blogging!

Katharine - Linda always knows what to say. LOL Thanks so much!

AD and Ana - Thanks! :)

Brent - I'm popping over to your blog soon. My word, so many awards! Could it be an award for the "Biggest Dr. T Fan on this Planet"? Surely, I would win that one, right? :)

Dano - You are absolutely right! Blogging has been so awesome to do and has helped me a lot. Reading other's blogs has helped so very much as well. It's just a win-win for everyone, I think!

Queenneenee - It is very nice! I am still completely shocked. I have no idea how they found my blog?

You poor lady...reading all of my posts from day one? I'm surprised you didn't fall asleep! LOL

Sometimes I feel that I've come a long way and other times feel regression is my friend. It's such a journey.

I'm glad to know that you're on the journey with me. We *will* (including your son) get through this! :) Thanks once again!

Brent - I sooo apologize! There is another blogger named Brent (from the Ominous Comma located at that visits and leaves comments and when I first saw the name "Brent", I thought it was him! That is why I said what I did about the Dr. T. award. He has a character in his blog named Dr. Toboggans who is my fave.

When I was about to close the comment window I saw your picture and stopped in mid-track, looked at your name and realized my mistake. I am sooooo sorry.

I will be popping over to your blog to check it out. You are so very nice.

I am so sorry! I feel like such a dunce!

You are totally deserving of this. You have been through hell and back with depression, and continue to face it and fight. I'm amazed you can do this every day and maintain a sense of humor.

Good for you, and congratulations!
